I consider the Hunter Douglas Luminette to be the evolution of the Vertical Blind. It is a fantastic product which combines the practicality and light/privacy control of verticals with the softness and beauty of sheer curtains. Although this innovative blend of window fashions has been on the market for several years now, Hunter Douglas continues to expand and improve on this product.

Luminette Privacy Sheers has introduced a new innovation: Modern Draperies. Luminette Modern Draperies are available with the Classic 3-1/2″ vane and can be controlled by Wand/Cord, Traveling Wand or PowerGlide 2.0 with Platinum™ Technology operating systems.
The fabric used for Modern Draperies is woven fabric instead of knit sheers. In a full panel configuration, the Modern Draperies are traverse only. The vanes do not rotate. A dual panel configuration combines a sheer panel with the woven fabric. The sheer portion traverses and the vanes rotate. The woven fabric portion of the panel does not traverse or rotate.
Measuring for a full panel configuration is as straight-forward as measuring for a standard Luminette Privacy Sheer. Measuring for dual panel configurations takes a bit more effort. The drapery panels come in preset widths. The width of the sheer is variable to accommodate the required width of the application. There are a number of other things to consider when measuring for Luminette Modern Draperies.
Installation is the same as standard Luminette Privacy Sheers. The headrail comes in five colors and the brackets are color coordinated to the headrail.
